Outwood Primary Academy Ledger Lane, based in Outwood, converted to an academy in December 2012, sponsored by Outwood Grange Academies Trust, following two inspections where the school was deemed to Require Improvement.  At its first inspection as an academy (May 2014), the school was rated as ‘Good’ by the education watchdog.

Status Quo drummer, Jeff Rich, visited Outwood Academy Adwick to deliver a musical workshop with the students. The session saw over 100 students playing percussion instruments along with Jeff and learning about the history, development and versatility of the drums.

Outwood Junior Academy Brumby Students Were Praised On Social Media.

In its 10 primary schools, Outwood Grange Academies Trust, has launched a new scheme where pupils, and parents, are invited to donate books to the school. From these donated books, the pupils are free to take home whichever they wish with the intention of developing their reading.
